About Us:
ROC is the Recreational Outdoors Club, a Recognized Student Organization of Clarion University of Pennsylvania. The club is open to all Clarion University students with a joy of the outdoors and a sense of adventure, or to anyone who just wants to give outdoor recreation a try. As a club we enjoy some great activites like camping, hiking, repelling, canoeing, backpacking, geocaching, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, caving, and a whole lot more. No need for any experience; we'll teach you everything you need to know to give anything a try! But if you're already an avid adventurer, we have enough excitement for you too. The club has trips as close as just a few miles away or as far as distant mountains in beaches out of state, as thrilling as paddling through serious whitewater or as relaxing as an easy walk in the woods.
We are also involved in doing our part to help keep the outdoors beautiful and fun by participating in clean-ups for trails, parks, rivers, and roads among other acts of community service, including We strive to be good stewards of our environment and teach new members how to have low impact fun in the great outdoors.
